ABBA's 12" single of The Winner Takes it All - a special collectors edition in beautiful condition.  The gatefold sleeve opens out to show a 3D-pop up of the group with a blue banner showing the group name and reproductions of the group's signatures; on the base of the sleeve are four photographs of the individual band members.  The 3D-pop up is in excellent condition.  The reverse cover shows a photo of the group.

Back Door's album of the same name is the original 1973 debut album from this jazz/prog band featuring ex-Eric Delaney Band members, including future Miles Davis sideman Colin Hodgkinson on bass.  This is a gatefold sleeve and the album 'art' is themed around the Lion Inn on the Yorkshire Moors at Blakey Ridge which formed the inspiration for the album.  The inner gatefold shows various photos from around the Inn including the old Inn sign showing it has been around since 1553, even the Inn's ginger cat gets a picture.  But the descriptions in the inner gatefold are well worth reading to get a full understanding of what inspired the music.

Edward H Dafis' album Yn Erbyn Y Ffactore is the original 1979 UK issue from the Welsh Rock legends pressed on the Welsh Sain label.  The album comes complete with an additional lyric sheet with black/white images/photo - the lyric sheet is in excellent condition.

Back Door's album Another Fine Mess is the original UK issue from 1975 from the jazz/prog band featuring future Miles Davis sideman, Colin Hodgkinson on bass.  The sleeve artwork is fantastic showing child-like drawings of men jumping from a yellow plane with one shouting 'another fine mess' as they land in the trailer to a red car.  But the reverse drawings are the most interesting showing various drawings of the song titles.

This 1973 Black Sabbath album Sabbath Bloody Sabbath was a real return to form and many fans rate it as their best.  This is a scarce original pressing and Rick Wakeman helps out on keyboards.  Clean original inner sleeve with song lyrics, and a gatefold sleeve showing the group superimposed over a bedroom with fourposter bed.

Recorded in 1982, this scarce Billy Fury album, The One and Only, was released, posthumously, in 1983.  Fury contracted rheumatic fever as a child which damaged his heart, ultimately thought to contribute to the fatal heart attack he suffered in January 1983 losing his life at the young age of 42.  He intended to begin promotion of the album in Dec 1982, but his health would not permit that to happen and his life ended less than a month later.  This was a comeback album following his incredible career in the 1950's and '60's where Fury, as the precursor to The Beatles, was almost the 'English Elvis'.  But his comeback was not to be and this album is rare due to this lack of promotion due to Fury's death.  In a bizarre twist, Fury lost his life at the same age as Elvis who also died at the incredibly young age of 42.

From the ashes of The Beach Boys' lost 'Smile' album came this 1967 release - 'Smiley Smile' - and it's not bad at all.  How could it be anything else when it's the album that includes 'Good Vibrations'?

This copy also comes with the original paper inner sleeve that's interesting in it's own right:  record companies used sales as an opportunity to promote other albums available at the time and so the sleeve shows the other EMI release - several Frank Sinatra albums, The Beach Boys' other album 'Pet Sounds', Matt Monro, and even 'The King and I'!  So, as well as the album there's a lot of fascination to be had from studying the inner sleeve!
