Chris Barber was a crucial figure in the development of British Rock.
The Skiffle movement originated from his band and he was the sponsor of many of the American blues legends who came to the U.K. in the 50's/60's.
Without him there would be no Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin etc.
This 1969 album, 'Battersea Rain Dance' is very collectible because its on the Marmalade Label and it features contributions by Paul McCartney, Reg King, Brian Auger and others.
