The is the Bee Gees 1968 album, Horizontal. A brilliant pop/psyche album heavily influence by The Beatles amongst others, this seemed to be the first album where each of the brothers Gibb wanted individual influence and certainly where they all wanted more of a say on how the album was going to be constructed. Another Robert Stigwood production, it contains the famous tracks 'Massachusetts' and 'World'. But all the songs are superb examples of the pop/psych genre. Currently, the Bee Gees are still famous for the work produced during their disco period and after, but a serious collector needs to revisit where it all began and discover the brilliance of their psychedelic pop period - a must for serious Bee Gees fans.
